What do you get when you cross Jazz Fusion with Alternative Pop-Rock, and Funky Soul? Why, Asphalt Panda of course!

This fresh new band's SLAMMING debut PANDALISM has all that and much more! Produced by BOZFONK MOOSICK founder Danny Bedrosian (who is also the Keyboardist for George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic,Secret Army,420 Funk Mob,Children of Production and much more), and featuring the songwriting talents of band leader and bassist Duane Day (formerly trumpeter for The Soular System, and bassist for Som'n Fierce), the LIVE drums of Secret Army drummer Seth Ceders, the eclectic guitar playing of MattMAN Burns, and a hype guest spot by The Soular System frontman the Reverand Desmond D'Angelo, this album promises to make you dance, and keep you interested at the same time.

The opener Stop N Go, is a straight up Jazz-Fusion masterpiece featuring some of Bedrosian's nastiest chops to date, and a great Ceders drum solo at the end. That Used to Be You is reminiscent of a RHCP feel, but with a more contemporary spin, a la Maroon 5. Pandalism is straight up Crunk Rock, and deals with the concept of the album, which is the progressing of the band's own legacy. Its a self-referential ideal of painting the Panda face on the pavement, thus the Pandalism of said pavement, and the increase in awareness of this new unique movement. The Soular System's Desmond D'Angelo spits a wild, hilarious rap on this one. Agent 9 on Lighthouse Isle is one of the band's most unique instrumentals, as its climbs and peaks through mysterious and truly uncharted musical territory. It also hints at equal parts Jazz and Pop, as if Billy Joel played with Weather Report. Some new sounds indeed. Right Away features Bedrosian (as does that used to be you, trainwreck and sexamadoo) on Lead vocals, and Part II sees Bedrosian taking a mean Synth solo that wraps up the schizophrenic love song turned-Funk-Fusion party! Sexamadoo is just that; A sexy dance vibe with Duane Day's bass at full tilt in the quirky funk grooves laid here. Day also takes a standout Trumpet solo at the ending vamp. Trainwreck lyrically is Bedrosian's tour de force on the album, featuring some great grooves, lyrics and interesting tempo chages at the bridge. The album rounds out with AP Sonata (or does it? Listen to the END)a vast, epic proto-classical instrumental featuring great guitar work by Matt Burns, and another standout solo from Bedrosian, markedly Baroque arpeggios from Day on Bass, and continually solid drumming from Seth Ceders; This album is monstrous and may be Ceder's finest drumming recorded to date.
